My favorite idiom in English is no cross, no crown. It is well-known that cross means a lot in Christian, such as misery, redemption and deep love from the lord. Jesus took up the cross firmly to redeem us from sins, without leaving any complaints, but considering for our eternal life wholeheartedly. All kinds of feelings well up in my heart when I learnt the story behind the cross. Our life is also full of crosses, isn’t it?
It dawns on me that the same thing happens in the major examinations we have been taking in school. Take the college entrance examination as an example, the harder you work, the better grades you will get. All the setbacks and obstacles are training us to become more patient, persistent and successful. It goes without saying that those hardships will become the stepping stones on the way to success eventually. Your future self will definitely be grateful for working hard to go through the hardest time.
