Annie Huang - Staff Writer
Annie Huang is currently a sophomore at Beckman High School and lives in Irvine, California. She joined Interverse Writing Team because she strives to help others and would like more experience writing different topics. As a kid, she has also had difficulty with learning a new language, so she understands the frustration. Some of her hobbies include playing golf, piano, and violin.
Ashlyn Jacobs - Staff Writer
Ashlyn lives in eastern Wisconsin and goes to public high school. She joined the Interverse team to gain volunteer experience and use her writing skills to help people learn. Some interesting facts about Ashlyn are that she loves rain and snow and her favorite seasons are autumn and winter. On average, she reads about 60 books a year and her favorite book is Jane Eyre. Ashlyn also loves all things old-fashioned and vintage-fashion, music, books, lifestyle, you name it.
Audrey Lee - Staff Writer
Audrey Lee is a freshman at Northwood High School in Irvine, California. She is very passionate about writing, particularly in the fantasy or fiction genres since she enjoys reading books in these categories. This influenced her to join Interverse since she wanted people to have access to pieces of writing that will help expose them more to the English language. As someone who is bilingual and is learning a third language, she hopes that people who read her writing will come to appreciate and learn about the culture of American and its language.
Gabriel Macatula - Online Editor-in-Chief
Gabriel Macatula attends Northwood High School in Irvine, CA. He joined Interverse because although he can't speak a second language, he wanted to help out those who want to learn English in any way he could. A fun fact about him is that he has a blog lostcollegekids.com to help out anyone who needs information on the American education system. He also writes programs for his mom's business if he's bored.

Irene Lee - Staff Writer
Irene Lee is a junior at Northwood High School in Irvine, CA. She became a member of Interverse to bond with people with a similar circumstance of living in crossed worlds and seek a mode of connection with the duality that encompasses yet transcends the languages that divide and define us. In her free time, Irene likes to read and write books, and play cello.
Tiffany Xiao - Staff Writer
Tiffany Xiao is from Irvine, California but attends a boarding school in Connecticut. She decided to join Interverse because she thinks that by educating non-native English speakers about the English language as well as American culture, communication can be improved and the world can become more cohesive. This is an important issue to her since she believes that if all people were able to set their differences aside to learn from each other, society would be more welcoming and productive.

Production Team

Claire Lin - Production Team Host
Claire Lin is from Atlanta, GA and is currently a student studying Industrial Engineering at Georgia Tech. Having studied abroad and meeting many people from various backgrounds and cultures, she believes that breaking cultural barriers through immersion and interaction is the most important factor. Therefore, at Interverse, Claire hopes to help others learn the nuances of the English language while providing the contexts for deeper understanding.
Colman Sun - Podcast Host
Colman Sun serves as the COO of Interverse Educational Outreach and an Interverse Media podcast host. As COO, Colman oversees all operations and communication in chapters and hopes to establish chapters in South Korea, China, Egypt, and more international territories. Outside of his work he swims competitively under Ken Lamont of the Irvine Novaquatics, plays the trumpet and guitar, and is highly involved with student activism. He also serves as the current State Vice President on California's State Council where he represents the 6.3 million students residing in the state of California.
Grace Fairchild - Podcast Host
Grace Fairchild is from Lexington, South Carolina and attends Lexington High School. She loves learning languages and traveling, and because of this she joined Interverse to help those who hope to learn English and/or visit America.
Kaitlyn Chesleigh - Production Team Host
Kaitlyn is a high school student in her senior year in New York, New York. Once she read Interverse’s inspiring mission statement she knew she had to be apart of the team! In her free time Kaitlyn enjoys watching movies and hanging out with friends.
Lour Drick Valsote - Production Team Producer
Lour Drick Valsote is from Massachusetts and is currently attending Stanford University. He joined Interverse because he wanted to gain more experience with video production and believes that Interverse's project is interesting. An interesting fact about Lour Drick is that his favorite animals are pandas.
Matthew Son - Production Team Editor
Matthew Son is a high school student at Northwood High School in Irvine, CA.
Rachel Gima - Production Team Producer
Rachel Gima is a producer for the Interverse Video Production team, which creates educational videos about a variety of topic for non-native English speakers. She currently attends Northwood High School in Southern California.
